Browser-based barcode generation
Most barcodes on BarcodeForge are generated directly in your browser using JavaScript. The data you enter for basic barcode generation is not uploaded to our servers. Your barcode data does not leave your device during generation.
What we collect
We may collect privacy-safe, aggregated analytics such as:
- Tool used (e.g., barcode generator, QR code generator)
- Barcode type selected (e.g., Code 128, QR Code)
- Download format chosen (e.g., SVG, PNG, PDF)
- Whether generation succeeded or failed (no value recorded)
- Device type (mobile or desktop)
- General country/region via IP geolocation (not stored)
What we do not collect
- Barcode values or data you enter
- CSV file contents
- Wi-Fi passwords entered in QR tools
- Email addresses entered in QR tools
- Phone numbers entered in QR tools
- URLs entered for QR generation
- vCard contact information
- File names containing sensitive data
Cookies
We may use cookies for basic site functionality and analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or track individuals across sites.
Third-party services
We may use privacy-focused analytics services (such as Plausible or Fathom) that do not track individuals and do not sell personal data. If we add advertising in the future, we will update this policy.
